Partnerships
In order to create real and lasting change, United Way of the Greater Seacoast is actively participating in a number of collaborative initiatives. We are a leading force for uniting businesses, service agencies and donors in cooperative efforts to develop proactive and innovative approaches to solve challenges facing our community.
Here are just a few examples of the local, regional and statewide coalitions that UWGS staff either lead or actively participate in:
- Alliance for Community Transportation (ACT)
- Community Support Organization Collaborative
- Greater Seacoast Girls Initiative
- Governor's Commission on Alcohol and Drugs Public Awareness and Education Task Force
- NH 2-1-1
- Creating Assets, Savings and Hope (CASH) Campaign of Southern NH.
- Statewide Funders Initiative
- Strafford and Rockingham County Continuum of Care
- Strategic Prevention Framework - Regional Coalitions for Substance Abuse Prevention
- Workforce Housing Coalition
Where coalitions don't already exist, we create them.
United Way established the Partnership for Effective Early Learning (PEEL) so area childcare centers could identify opportunities to collaborate, including reducing operating costs by sharing services, in order to keep their focus on providing quality childcare instead of how to keep the doors open. Nearly a dozen executive directors, representing childcare centers throughouth the region, are part of this initiative to make sure all families have access to quality, affordable early learning opportunities for their children.
